Amanda P. -- 21-year-old femal: HEADACHES
I came to Dr. Ewing for my Headaches. I had had them nearly every day for as long as I could remember. Over the years, I got used to planning things around my pain. I never left the house without my aspirin and avoided anything that could make my headaches worse. Since my mother had headaches all of her life, I didn't really think I would ever be free of the pain. One day a friend told me about the office and said I should try Chiropractic. I thought why not, It can't get any worse. Dr. Ewing saw me and we started treatment. The first few visits, I saw no change. On the next Tuesday, Dr. Ewing asked me how my weekend was. I said great, not realizing at the time that I had no headaches over the 3-day weekend. When he asked me about the headaches, it dawned on me that I hadn't had one in 3 days! I was ecstatic to say the least. As time went on my headaches came less frequently. I still get adjusted about once a month and get occasional headaches, but I feel like a normal person again. I no longer have to plan my life around my pain. Thank you.
Beth M.--42-year-old female: CARPAL TUNNEL ?
I came to Dr. Ewings office to see if he could help my Carpal Tunnel in my hand. I work at a computer all day and long hours are not uncommon. I had been having numbness and tingling in my hand for about 6 months. Some co-workers said I must have Carpal Tunnel and I could either live with it or get surgery. I accepted this theory for a while since I had heard it before around the office. Not until it started getting really bad and interfering with my work and home life, did I decide to see if anything else could be done. Dr. Ewing did an exam and took some X-rays of my neck (even though my hand was the problem). During the Report of Findings, he told me that the problem was not in my hand, but in my neck. I was skeptical, but kept an open mind. He showed me how pinched nerves in my neck can cause symptoms all the way down in my hand. As we began the adjustments (on my neck) and back, I noticed less numbness and tingling. I was gaining strength in my hand and could even hold a coffee cup again. Just 3-4 weeks later, I felt like a new woman. Dr. Ewing made me promise that even though they mean well, I would not seek health advise from co-workers anymore.
Cesar G.--30-year-old male : MID BACK PAIN.
When I first came to see Dr. Ewing, I had mid back and mid to lower back pain, stiffness and discomfort. The pain began mid March and had lasted six weeks. I had been taking Advil and hot baths/ heating pads. I then began taking anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxers to alleviate the pain. I was waking up in the morning at 5:30 or 6:00 am in pain and couldn't sleep or lay down. I was fatigued at work and extremely irritable. Chiropractic has helped me by taking away my pain and letting me sleep better. I went from heating pads to medications to starting treatments with Dr. Ewing. I Followed his treatment plan and it alleviated my pain and discomfort. I also incorporated Massage and Yoga, both of which I couldn't do until I started my visits to Dr Ewing. I would also like to thank his staff for being so friendly and helpfull. I would recommend Chiropractic to others.
Janet S.-- 50-year-old female: LOW BACK PAIN
My low back pain started 10 days prior to seeing Dr .Ewing. I had already tried Motrin and a heating pad. It was hard to sit, stand and turn over in bed. Chiropractic has helped me by reducing my pain and helping me to sleep better. After 1 month of treatment, I have almost no pain. Dr. Ewing and staff have been great. I would recommend Chiropractic to others.
Michael H.--35-year-old male: CHRONIC SHOULDER PROBLEMS
I came to Dr. Ewings office with Chronic Shoulder problems. I had aching, stiffness and cracking/ popping sounds. I had suffered with this condition for 12 years after an injury from a fall at work. I had previously tried initial pain therapy consisting of hot packs and a tens unit. I had constant pain in the shoulder area and I was always aware of the problem. I would sometimes have numbness and tingling in my arm after sleeping. I was less effective at my Volleyball activities and could not stay at my desk in a typing position for very long. Chiropractic has helped me sleep better and have less pain. I would recommend Chiropractic to others.
The treatment has been great. The numbness and tingling in my arms during sleep has not re-occured. I am able to sit at my desk for longer durations without discomfort.
Susan M.--45-year-old female: NECK / BACK PAIN
My condition started 10 years ago as the result of a car accident. My initial treatment included Medical Doctors, Physical Therapy, and pain medication from time to time. Everything in my life was filtered through how much pain I was currently in before deciding if I could participate or not, (a terrible way to live). I stopped swimming, which I dearly love as a result of the neck pain.
Chiropractic has helped me by greatly decreasing my pain and improving my sleep. Combining Massage Therapy and Chiropractic was a new phenomenon for me. It has been truly revolutionary for me. This is the best I have felt in a very long time. I'm now able to do moderate excercise for the pure enjoyment of it. I would absolutely recommend Chiropractic to others !
Lisa T--40-year-old female: PAIN BETWEEN THE SHOULDER BLADES:
I came to Dr Ewing's office because of pain between the shoulder blades. My spine felt like it was knotted up with occasionally pain wrapped around my ribs to my chest and stomach. This was on and off for about 6 years. Initially I had seen an Internal Medicine Doctor and went to the hospital ER. When the pain was at its worst, the pain was incapacitating until I could take a muscle relaxer and sleep for awhile. In general, it was just irritating and uncomfortable and made sitting for long periods difficult. Chiropractic has helped me by decreasing my pain.
Not only have the adjustments helped the existing pain, but it is also reassuring that they may prevent it from recurring and if it does, there is something I can do besides just taking Ibuprofen and muscle relaxers (when it's really bad). I would recommend Chiropractic to others.
Jeremy R.H--30-year-old male: LOW BACK PAIN
When I first saw Dr. Ewing for low back pain, I had unbearable, uncomfortable and frustrating pain in any position. I had already seen a general MD who gave me some stretches and excercises to try, but the pain continued to increase. The Medical Doctor offered me pain killers, but I didn't want to go that route.
When I first came to Dr Ewings office, I couldn't sit, which I do all day at work. I had a hard time driving, bending, working out at the gym and climbing stairs. I could not do anything comfortably or without pain. I was very frustrated and scared. It was a serious problem.
Dr Ewing has helped me tremendously. My pain started to disappear the first couple of visits and continued to get better and better. I was able to continue my life and go do my job without discomfort and without pain. In a short period of time Dr Ewing had me living my normal life without pain at all.
I would recommend Chiropractic to everyone. Everyone in Dr Ewings office was extremely friendly and helpful and I felt a welcomed feeling with every visit.
Tracey A.--35-year-old female: HEADACHES
I have had severe headaches and neck pain.
I've had headaches for as long as I can remember. They seemed to get very intense about ten years ago. Before coming to Dr. Ewing , I had these headaches daily. It was more uncommon for me to not have a headache than to have one.
Before Chiropractic treatment, I went to various regular doctors. I was told repeatedly that I had either migraines or sinus infections. have been given a bevy of assorted pills; everything from antibiotics and decongestants to muscle relaxers and high-strength anti-inflammatories. Nothing had helped. In many cases the medicines prescribed gave me an upset stomach and did nothing for my headaches.
My health problem affected various aspects of my life. Im felt grumpy all of the time. I was short with my family and coworkers due to the constant pain. I had difficulty concentrating on my schoolwork. It was very difficult falling asleep and staying asleep due to the pain.
Chiropractic has helped me have much less pain and sometimes no pain at all. I sleep better and take much less medication. I have more energy and feel much happier and more positive about life.
I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend Chiropractic to others.
I am so pleased to have found Dr. Ewing. He has a very genuinely kind manner and the rest of the staff is very pleasant. The visits are quick and painless. The therapy offered after the adjustment is wonderful...it's like treating yourself to a visit to the spa. For anyone who has chronic headaches and have tried the "traditional" methods of treatment without relief, you should give Chiropractic a try. It has been such a blessing to me.
